Why do you mean by "body-safe"?

Body-safe toys are made from non-porous and non-toxic materials, such as silicone, borosilicate glass, stainless steel, sealed wood, and hard plastic like ABS.

This is important, because too many toys are made of jelly and other porous materials - meaning they're covered in microscopic holes that trap bacteria, fungi and viruses. They make seem clean on the outside, but as they are impossible to sterilise, they actually harbour all sorts of nasties that can cause illness, infection and allergic reactions.

Another issue is that lots of PVC/jelly toys use toxic chemicals called phthalates to make them soft & squishy to the touch. As well as causing chemical burns (!), these can leach off oils and odours as they degrade over time. Nothing like a toxic, melted, stinky dildo!

Sadly, that's not the end of possible chemicals in these cheap toys. As the sex toy industry is unregulated, companies can use and label whatever they get away with! A 2006 study by the Danish EPA found a number of toxins present in a variety of adult toys.

Treat your body like the sacred temple that it is - keep your toys body-safe!
